On the carer's side of the forums, we would like to celebrate @myheartache for your wonderful words of encouragement to other members and for sharing some great practical self-care activities for when things get tough when caring for a loved one here.
🎉Forum events to take part in:
- Topic Tuesday// BPD awareness – Flipping the script: Changing the Narrative on BPD with a special guest from Spectrum // Tues 6th October,7 pm-8:30 pm AEST (more info to come).
🔦Spotlight on:
We are very excited to announce the arrival of a new topic area called Welcome & Getting started. This is a space for new members to introduce themselves to the community and read some tips in navigating around the forums. We hope that this area will make it easier for all of us to welcome new members and support them when they first join the forums.
Quote of the month:
'To be heard and respected is just the most valuable thing that you can give a person who is really struggling' – said by @AEB in Thumbs up Thursday - Woohoo!
"That is why I joined the sane forum.... has really helped me to help my husband and mum "- said by @Shaz51 at our carers event in August here. https://saneforums.org/t5/Special-Events/Online-Event-Setting-Boundaries-as-a-Carer-with-ARAFMI-Weds...
We want to do a big shout out to @Judi9877 for your contributions to this month’s wrap 🎉
