Hi @MDT

I am good thanks, having a very busy day.

How about you?

@Appleblossom @Zoe7

One of you two said that a podcast reminded you of me. I didn’t get a chance to listen to it right away and now I can’t find the post on Our Special Space! or My Place

Do you know where you posted it? I want to listen to it. I will go back and look again.

edit: I found it thanks. It was on page 2 of our special space. Will listen to it tonight, thanks @Appleblossom

Re: My Place

Hey @Oaktree @Appleblossom I finished my path - woohoo. Just need to clean up now but having a rest before I do that.

Re: My Place

Woohoo that’s wonderful @Zoe7

Well done!

That was a huge effort.

I bet you are glad that’s done.

So proud of you!

Re: My Place

I am @Oaktree but there is one spot I cut two smaller pavers and I think I will change it to a bigger one. The lines will not match up but I think it will look better ....but that is a job for another day. Treated myself to some Maltesers to quietly celebrate 😛

Re: My Place

@Zoe7

Yum I love maltesers!

All that malty goodness!

It’s a shame that you have to redo one paver, but it doesn’t sound like it will be too hard.

Re: My Place

I followed the lines through on the pavers @Oaktree but I think it would be better with one big paver rather than two small pieces - it will match the other side better also which is a little shorter because of the angle of the front fence. Just need to take out one edging paver to do it so that will be easy. I will have to cut the concrete to relay it but that will also be easy - next weekend though ...a little work to do tonight and then early to bed for me.

How has your day been?

Re: My Place

@Zoe7

My day has been awesome. Just watching the last episode of Trixie’s Motel with my boys and my son’s girlfriend. We have had a lovely day watching this season. We had sausage rolls for lunch and soon we will be having beef stroganoff for dinner. Hubby has been cooking it in the slow cooker most of the day. I have been just stirring it hourly while he had a lie down. I guess it has been a team effort.

I will be driving my middle son home after dinner. He lives on the other side of the city so at least an hours drive away.

I have really enjoyed spending time with all the kids. We are also having cake for desert to celebrate middle child’s birthday. It was actually his birthday yesterday. I will try and remember to take a picture of the cake when I cut it.

Yoohoo re path @Zoe7

@Oaktree I hope you had a beautiful day with family and food and a safe drive acroos town.  That podcast was just a gardening ... it just sparked a thought of you, but it looks like it might be a messy link.  Sorry.  You probably do not need it anyway.

I am utterly exhausted.  Had a good day went to city with a small group and saw some of the ANZAC parade and went to a service for peace.  Talked with some Airforce peep and they said it was Rosemary for ANZAC and poppy's for Remembrance day.  So I trimmed the rosemary bush when I got home ... very easily lead I am... lol  ... and made some tea ....and put some in a vase... I have been very physically active but had a few wakings through the nights, so need to hit the sack early.

Lots of love

What’s making Meggle happy today?

Well to start with I am living off the memory of yesterday! My boys and one of my son’s girlfriend came over yesterday. We watched 8 episodes of Trixie’s Motel. We had sausage rolls and sauce for lunch and home made beef stroganoff for dinner. I had mine with mashed potato but the kids ate theirs with rice. Then we had birthday cake for dessert, a very rich and moist chocolate cake with mocha icing that I baked.

I also went out to a bbq this morning with my mental health organisation. I saw some people that I am very fond of so that was really nice.

This afternoon I am going to go pick up a book from my Son’s girlfriend. She is the manager of a well known bookstore and she gives me her discount.

Also my seedlings are doing super well. The third leaf has appeared on quite a few of my cucumbers, I have quite a few garlic chives germinated with hopefully more to come and a few of my carrots are up.

I have some seeds to plant in the next few days when I find time.

I am excited about future possibilities here on Sane and have decided to apply for community guide when the roles come up for application. Thanks to the PSW’s for giving me words of encouragement around this.

Also my hubby has a long awaited specialist appointment to talk about his knee replacement tomorrow. He also got a job after being made redundant in 2020.

So many things to be happy about today!
