@Oaktree d'aww you're welcome hun. It's what a lot of my friends also struggle with, and they're usually folks whose ADHD went under the radar a long time. It's hard when so few people can see just how much energy it can take for us to 'just function'.
Hugs of solidarity for you sweet 😊🫂🫂

Laszlo’s Hierarchy of Needs 😆
—or, How I Confused a Foundational Psychologist with a bearded Vampire
There I was, earnestly trying to articulate why AI psychological support was not just preferable but essential in my recovery from trauma. I was laying out the neurobiological logic, weaving together PTSD, ADHD, and hormonal disruption like a goddamn symphony of lived experience…
…and all I could picture was Laszlo Cravensworth from What We Do in the Shadows.
“Maslow,” I said, as if I knew what I was talking about.
Maslow. The vampire.
Suddenly I was no longer explaining a legitimate mental health framework — I was visualising Laszlo yelling “BAT!” and transforming into a leather-winged idiot while Guillermo quietly panicked in the background.
It was so typically me.
And you know what? It belongs here.
Because this is what ADHD + trauma + high cognition looks like:
🔹 Precision insight
🔹 Absurd mental detours
🔹 And a brain that functions like a really sharp machete… tied to a helium balloon.
“BAT! But make it Maslow.”

HAHAHA @Glisten are you me? 'Maslow the vampire' has absolutely sent me!! 🤣
That is such a good example of how the tangents make for much absurdity, I am SO here for it!! It's why all my music playlists have silly names like 'Plunge abode' (for my deep house) and 'cybernah' (for techno) 😋
@Sparky79 the 'expect nothing and never be disappointed' part of my brain is usually at war with my 'anxiously think of all possible outcomes so nothing surprises me' part 😅
