Want to forget TW

Re: Want to forget TW

Hi @Zoe7

I'd like to write more - alas - my shoulder is objecting.

It's a great pity that some people don't realise the impact what they say on other people not really involved - yes   - that is hard

But your tooth - oh no - I guess that means a trip to the dentist - I hope it can be fixed

Catch up soon - I just came in to read as I do often - I had to reply to this though

Oh no re your tooth, @Zoe7 ! 😮

I hope the pain won't keep you awake...oh gosh...and that you can get to a dentist quickly... 💚

Re: Want to forget TW

Have a dentist appointment tomorrow but it is a short one we already had scheduled so won't be able to deal with the broken tooth @tyme @Owlunar @NatureLover Hopefully we can make another appointment quickly. The pain is not too bad but uncomfortable to eat - so soft foods until I can get it sorted.

A better day today - the kids are just beautiful - which makes the back pain a little more bearable. It is not as bad now with pain relief but like my tooth, very uncomfortable. Wanted an early night but have to finish some work before tomorrow. I am also trying to get a bit more done before Friday so I can leave earlier than I usually do - that way I will avoid any 'drama'. I know avoiding it is not the ultimate solution but I am hoping my friend has talked to the Principal and it is all being sorted out 🤞

Re: Want to forget TW

I'm glad your back pain and tooth pain are not agonising, but I really hope you can get the extra dentist appt quickly @Zoe7

I hope you were able to sleep OK last night.

Re: Want to forget TW

@NatureLover Can't get another dentist appointment for a few weeks so I am number 1 on the cancellation list. Today was a quick appointment to get my denture for the two teeth that had to come out a few weeks ago. The dentist looked at the broken tooth and said it is not cracked as usually happens so there is no rush - it is just a bit uncomfortable but if it gets worse I am to call straight away. Back a lot better today - still uncomfortable but not in pain 👍

Not much sleep last night but feeling okay - will be an early night though.

How has your day been (knowing it will not be until the morning that you see this)?

Re: Want to forget TW

Oh no, a few weeks @Zoe7 ! 😮

At least your back's a bit better, yay 🙂

Yesterday was nice but I didn't achieve much work on the house (mess piling up inside). I have a friend coming to help me with it each Friday, but she can't come this Friday so I have some time to get it clear so we can then work on the hoarded boxes in the shed.

I hope you get a cancellation appt at the dentist soon... 🤞

Re: Want to forget TW

It will feel so good when you have it sorted @NatureLover I had a big clean up last holidays - even threw out some things I had been holding onto for sentimental reasons but no longer worked ...that was hard but it was time.

Re: Want to forget TW

Hi @Zoe7,

I hope things have settled for you around your friend / colleague at school. It's never easy to be stuck in the middle and it can all get too much. I get that people may need to vent but sometimes I think they also may not realise how much of a toll that can take on the person they are venting too. I agree, it can increase anxiety and it's not very fair to be stuck between a rock and a hard place. Hopefully the team leader can support everyone so that you all feel valued, heard and supported.

I also hope you were able to get your tooth fixed and you have been able to get some decent sleep.

Wishing you well,

FloatingFeather

Re: Want to forget TW

It was a better day yesterday @FloatingFeather but I had to walk away from my friend to stop her 'venting'. She also had a meeting with the Principal after school so I had some time to do some things I needed to do without having her around. It is certainly not the way I want (or need) to feel at work but very much hoping now that meeting has happened that things will be put in place to manage the situation. Unfortunately my other colleague teacher is not at all a 'team player' and has the same attitude with everyone (including senior staff and our team leader) so the situation is difficult ...but that is for them to work out.

I have an appointment in a week and a half to get my tooth fixed so that is some good news.

Re: Want to forget TW

Hi @Zoe7,

I hope the meeting with the Principal has helped calm the situation. Sometimes we are left with little choice but to walk away from situations if for no other reason but to protect ourselves. It such a shame that the two teachers just can't get on - I'm sure it would make the whole working dynamic so much more enjoyable for everyone if they did.

It is good that you managed to get an appointment for the dentist. I hope your broken tooth isn't causing you to mush pain in the interim.

Hope your week ahead is a good one.

Warm wishes,

FloatingFeather
