Re: Support for L-B

Hi @tyme and @Oaktree , as you know I took a break but am now back to the regular schedule. I honestly don't know if I am up to working at all even though it's a handful of hours per week. I feel trapped by the situation I am in.

Re: Support for L-B

Hi @L-B

sorry to hear that you are feeling trapped by your circumstances. I don’t have any advice for you but I am sending you some reassurance.

Thanks for your previous posts @tyme

It’s amazing to think that someone else is in my corner

Re: Support for L-B

Thanks @Oaktree for the reassurance. I've reflected on your previous post and hope there is a positive response to your letter. What I take from this is your courage which is there whether or not the response is positive.

Re: Support for L-B

@L-B

Thanks so much, yes I do recognise that just sending the letter was a brave thing. However I am a bit worried about the consequences.

Re: Support for L-B

Hey @L-B ,

Sorry to hear that you feel a bit hemmed in with your circumstances.

What do you hope to achieve from work? Is it purely financial, or are there other considerations?

Whilst work can pay a few bills, if you don't find fulfillment, you may be future burning yourself out. However, if you find the work meaningful and energising, then it may aid your recovery.

Thoughts?

Thinking of you both @L-B @Oaktree

Re: Support for L-B

Hi @tyme , it would be nice if I found work meaningful and energising. Maybe it might have been at a time. I don't seem to know what I want from work...work provides some basic structure, financial and social function which is good...I am rambling...mostly I am either pushing myself or dragging myself around but I put in a great effort not to show this.

Re: Support for L-B

Maybe it's the 'wrong' fit in terms of the role? @L-B

Maybe we can brainstorm some other ideas?

I flick through jobs every night. I get sent emails from Jora Jobs and I just like to see what's out there and what people are looking for. I wonder if flicking through these will help you find something that sparks your interest?

Re: Support for L-B

Yes, I flick through ads as well @tyme on Seek and Jora. I think I prefer self employment but I keep searching in case there is something more suitable.

Re: Support for L-B

Yeah, just something to keep an eye out for. Doesn't mean you have to apply @L-B

I find the job market so interesting lol... maybe I need to go into HR and recruitment lol

Re: Support for L-B

Maybe @tyme , lol!
