Thats good @StuF keep up with the walking. Do you do resistance band training to build muscle mass?  I was told you need to do that as you get older. I bought my resistance bands from Kmart. They don't cost much and are as good as going to a gym. You can check out resistance band exercises online. I feel stronger and better with it. The body really responds! I do roughly 10 minutes twice a day.  There are other people on here that do resistance band training like @Dimity and @Former-Member. Be encouraged.

Good stuff @Historylover I could do with the bonus. I'm heading out to exercise soon. Yes the weather really started to turn right on the Equinox this week. Enjoy your day. I may make a cup of ginger tea

I might ask my physio about the resistance bands- I need to be careful about what I do with my back.

As well as walking I do some stretches each day for the back and some very basic/light weights and different stretches for my cubital tunnel syndrome.

I think he'd be fine with the bands (and it sounds like a good idea) but I'd want him to give me specific exercises to do

Yes I forgot about you seeing a physio for something @StuF I guess you could ask to just be on the safe side. I wonder why he/she never suggested it in the first place? My Diabetes Educator is big on resistance bands. There may be a valid reason for why your physio did not want you doing it. Anyway next time you see him/her ask! I'm going for a walk now. I hope you have a good day at work today.  I'm loving my blood irradiating gizmo
