Re: Welcome Back (to Me)!

Welcome back @tyme thanks for sharing your trip it sounds like it was a busy one
I’m glad you got to showcase what going on around here

Re: Welcome Back (to Me)!

@Shaz51 It is not much fun this Covid and it is the first time I’ve had it. I know lol I am a late starter on this one. My poor seeing guide dog has had to be home everyday and I feel a bit guilty but nothing I can do. Once I’m better I’ll take him out for a huge play at the park as a thank you to him being such a good boy and cuddling with me while I’m sooky!

I am glad you are resting. Do you know what is causing the aches and pains for you? You doing ok?

Re: Welcome Back (to Me)!

Hey @Cuddlebear , what I found is when things are not going so well, it can stop us from seeing our progress. Yet if we reflect on where we first started, we may see more progress than we first realised. @ArraDreaming @Shaz51 @NatureLover @Till23

Re: Welcome Back (to Me)!

@tyme That’s really very true too. I know that I don’t give myself enough grace and those negative thoughts can get in the way of seeing the good things. I try to write a list of good things when that happens 🙂

Re: Welcome Back (to Me)!

So glad you had a good time @tyme

Hopefully they can learn from Sane

Good to have you back

Yes @tyme I started as an observer, I'm not sure if I've reached superuser!

Yes, as a person previously reticent to dislose or discuss MH type things, I am well aware that the posts are public. Which would make a data breach a complete disaster. I try to keep my anonymity by being careful about any identifying things. I am very worried about the possibility (actually probability) of certain types of people reading post for their own gratification

I totally hear your concerns, and to be honest, maybe this is somthing we haven't been stringent enough on in some cases. Please flag any posts of concern. @Till23

It is really great to see your peer support on the forums.

Re: Welcome Back (to Me)!

@tyme that sounds amazing. Sane has been a big part of my journey to recovery. It's amazing that you were able to show how valuable this space is. Not only valuable in walking along side people in there struggles but celebrating their successes.

There should be more research into platforms like this. Not everyone has access to the same face to face supports. This service is for everyone, at any time.

These days everyone has a phone (internet) in hand and will google or reddit something before sharing with others. Mental health topics are so taboo in real life, especially if your isolated, that online is more accessible and easier to find that targeted support.

I have communication difficulties but can write well. It's been so helpful for me to write all my thoughts down over the years and find a safe respectful community to do so.

Re: Welcome Back (to Me)!

Welcome back @tyme   Your time overseas sounds great and that it was a very positive experience.

fingers crossed, all the information about the Forums can gradually spread and be implemented in other countries.

welcome @Cuddlebear  sorry to hear you have Covid, hoping you feel better each day

Re: Welcome Back (to Me)!

Thanks @Patches59 @The-red-centaur @Snowie  🙂

And we need everyone here to make it bigger and better than ever!

I want to start more projects for forum members to get involved with.

Re: Welcome Back (to Me)!
