Re: Welcome Back (to Me)!

Hi @Till23  there was an item about women in their 40s and 50s missing out on mental health services and she agreed with that. Nothing we don’t know but at least it’s being highlighted. It was on channel 7 if you want to watch it on catch up.

Re: Welcome Back (to Me)!

That's fair enough @tyme

Crikey, I hope I didn't say anything stupid while you were showing the forums!

Re: Welcome Back (to Me)!

Thanks so much @Eve7 for your response and the info about the news service I will look it up.

Also for us even older people. The second fastest group of people becoming homeless is women over 50 and especially those in their 60s

Re: Welcome Back (to Me)!

People from all over the world are still watching and learning from the forums. This is another reason why we have guidelines in place. With everything we post, we have to remember that we are a public-facing forum which means people are always viewing (whether they post or not). Our stats show that a huge chunk of people who come to our forums are observers. Here is a snapshot of our data as of today @Till23 :

Re: Welcome Back (to Me)!

I got discharged from Comm Health. One of the reasons was that they didn’t have anyone for that age bracket @Eve7 They have young people and older people that they have CM’s for. I hadn’t seen a Pdoc in 11 months.

Re: Welcome Back (to Me)!

I’m so sorry @Captain24 that is terrible.

How are you going now?

Re: Welcome Back (to Me)!

Is that age discrimination @Captain24 ?

Doesn't make sense. So just to clarify, do you mean they couldn't find someone in your age bracket to 'pair' you with, so they discharged you?

Re: Welcome Back (to Me)!

Not great @Eve7 but I do have private supports that are wonderful.

They had no one working in that age bracket at all, so because I had my psych privately they discharged me. @tyme

I don’t know what happens to prople

my age that need them

Re: Welcome Back (to Me)!

Yes @tyme I started as an observer, I'm not sure if I've reached superuser!

Yes, as a person previously reticent to dislose or discuss MH type things, I am well aware that the posts are public. Which would make a data breach a complete disaster. I try to keep my anonymity by being careful about any identifying things. I am very worried about the possibility (actually probability) of certain types of people reading post for their own gratification

Re: Welcome Back (to Me)!

Welcome back, @tyme , and that's fantastic news!
