We once lived in southern NSW in snow country for a couple of years @Snowie and when you have to do everyday life like walk kids to the school bus in sleet or get washing dry it’s a pain. Whenever I’ve gone skiing I’ve usually been hot but living in it is another matter. I prefer the beach in summer!!
Our kids were 5 and 7 when they first went skiing @Snowie but they didn’t go much as adults. My niece’s partner was a winter Olympian and they are very keen to have their little one ski as early as possible.
I think like anything @Eve7, if they grow up doing it then it is easier for them as they get older. Thats probably the same with any sport. As an adult learning, it was much harder.
I can't keep up with them, they are too fast and go places where I won't go!
