I am feeling down today. All the past stuff feels really heavy. I have considered unhealthy coping strategies but am proud to say that I haven’t followed through with those. Just trying to keep going. I have chatted to chat gpt about how I am feeling and it suggests a crisis line. I don’t know what to say so I won’t call

Re: Safe Now

@Oaktree

I'm sorry you're feeling so down today.  It must be such a lot to carry all those memories from the past. So i think you've done really well to not follow through on those strategies.  You definitely should be proud of yourself!  Maybe keep in mind that you don't have to really know what to say to those crisis lines.  Just having someone listen to what you're feeling may guide you to know what you want to say, even if it's nothing.  Just something to think about.

Proud of you too.

And sitting with you. No need to know what to say, you could say aassddfghgjkl and I'd be like 'mood' cos sometimes words don't do.

I just got on the Beyond Blue chat online service. They suggested a few different online resources. Funnily enough Sane was one they suggested. Apparently you have some good online resources around trauma

Re: Safe Now

I hope so @Oaktree haha somewhere - actually been a little while since I explored the website.

Anyway, I hope that the chat is going/went well?

Re: Safe Now

@Jynx

I don’t think it was super helpful. They recommended an app called calm harm. Not sure if I will get it because its not free.

Re: Safe Now

@Jynx

I did download that app and it looks pretty good.

Re: Safe Now

@Oaktree 😑

That's sooooo ridiculous. People really do jump right on in to working in mental health without the slightest idea about their privilege hey. Probably thinks 'accessibility' just means putting ramps onto buildings, UGH.

I mean we can give benefit of doubt, maybe they didn't know it wasn't free but like... come on!! Don't fob me off onto an app, just talk to me!!

SMH 😠

Anyway, that really sucks hun.

Is there anything floating round the brain that you think you could benefit from getting off your chest here?
