Re: Socialising for Beginners
so glad you and your brother has rosed above it all, and I am so proud of both of you @amber22
and it is sad to see that in Australia that It is getting quite unsafe to go out at night and to go to certain places, even for walks by yourself,
so the various adventures and social activities that could happen over here in Australia made me quite nervous to be honest! --- very understandable my friend

Re: Socialising for Beginners
May be he finds a soothing comfort in the rhythmic click of you knitting needles, and you find comfort in his hands thumbing through the sports page or some old novel. If its peaceful and it doesnt feel like an empty home occupied by vacant eyes, then mate I gotta tell you, Your doing alright. Till she passed, my wife and I were two old, 'yes dear no dearest' . . . slippers, Yes maybe socialising could have been way better for us.
We'll never know. we never felt the need to look.
I think you are in the centre of your circle and you've a better hand the reigns than you may realize. . . .
Constant fine tuning, A human compulsion. I think Its good you always are searching for that elusive twinkle in other windows, and a warm home behind yours. . .

Re: Socialising for Beginners
@Shaz51 @Owlunar @amber22 and all ...
@TAB Had to look up the lyrics and meaning of the song ..lol apparently it was banned ... and is about a bartender and sailor talking in a tavern ??
Cheered up @tonys
while he was also talking about knitting needles ....
wow we are covering a lot of social variety in a few posts. Sane is Amazing!
Context is everything.
Think we are getting into Socialising Intermediate.
Had a great day with a lady driving a ute, put water and mulch on 2 of my gardens and a few chats. Got lots done and had FUN! I do not usually separate work and fun, as sometimes they go together and sometimes going out and trying to find friends has been far more painful than work, anyday. But I am getting there. Had a shower. Going out tonight with a different bunch to make music.
Thx Guys

"People also ask
What is the meaning of the song Louie Louie?
So, there you have it, the most widely banned song of the early rock 'n' roll era. And what was it all about? A first-person perspective lament of a Jamaican tavern patron talking to his bartender named Louie about how much he misses his girlfriend while he's away at sea. That's about it.6 Oct 2018
"Louie Louie": The most vile and vulgar song of all time"
