May, like many others, was caught up in her own reality bias. If only she looked that little bit harder. If only she dared to venture beyond her own comforts. If only she was willing....things would be different...

The boy still holding Mays' hand turned to her and said
"Hi, I'm Graham"
"May" she managed to reply.
"let's go for a ride." Said Graham.
They walked over to the trees and two Pegasus' obediently lowered themselves to the ground. They told the teenagers to climb aboard their backs. All at once May and Graham were lifted into the air. This time it wasn't a daydream and May did in fact feel absolutely carefree.

They had flown quite a distance when May notice 2 mountains on the horizon, atop of each
were identical castles. She tapped Graham on the shoulder and pointed to them both with
a confused questioning look. As she did so the Pegasus landed, seemingly in mid air. Graham
dismounted first and lifted his hand to assist her. May felt dizzy as she swung her leg over
the saddle, looking all the way down to the ground. The moment at which she was sure she
would fall, when she let go of the Pegasus mane and could see nothing beneath her, a path
appeared. The path led left & right, directly to the top of each mountain & the door of each
castle. Graham began to explain, "We are all different for a reason, each and every one of
us have developed our own realities. They form due to so many things, our experiences,
genetics, environments are but a few. The reality you knew is just one of them, take the path
to the right, enter that castle and you will return to your classroom. Take the path to the left,
enter that castle and you will not know what you'll find. The choice is yours."

May swallowed and took a step to the left. She felt perilously close to skirting with danger. She was frightened of the unknown but who really knows what the future will bring she surmised. Graham held her hand. She felt grateful for the support. Her dog Beau bounded out to greet her. Delighted, she forgot for a minute that Beau had died 10 years ago.

There is a nice dreamland story evolving at Poohland.
Open-ended fiction is a great idea when people need to get out of everyday MH issues. You might get some ideas from Winnie the Pooh and his friends for this thread.
Not sure if the link above works, as I'm still new, but if it fails search for @Sophia1
I would love to join May and Graham adventures, but one storyline is enough for me atm.
