Re: Trying makes it worse

Hey @EternalFlower that sounds terrible. You can try to make the most of having a good nurse today and ask if he can take some time and just sit with you and let you talk about some of how you're feeling. Here with you.

Re: Trying makes it worse

@EternalFlower    hello  friend.   Cockroach Eh,   for a moment I thought you were in my

kitchen.   They are air born and fly long distances in summer.    I have to say,   I  take from them the lessons they bring.   Survival  in the extremes of adversity.   But,   a old swag man in the bush am I

and you are a soft and sensitive person In unfamiliar surroundings.

Deprivation  of what's familiar to you will have your survival skills /  stress hormones in the red.

I imagine though,  if you are in hospital,  its for good reasons.  When I'm stressed I have at times made hasty decisions,  personal attacks and stalking are my triggers.  Now adays I get advice from as many people as I can,  throw my thoughts in mix bowl and  average it all out.

Not every decision you make will be right, so long as there are more good than poor,  you will

make it.               Always ,   If you can,        say . . .  can I think about it,  and get back to you.

In this day and age,  the one that has your best interest at heart is you my friend.  Form a plan in your mind and make it your mission.     NDIS,   thats my hope hope for you for now.

Please slow your thinking  right down,   breathe slow and deep,   Knowing that you need

help,   thats hard,   as is accepting that help.    I will look in later. Eternal Flower, and think of you till then.                   your friend          tonys  m b 1

Re: Trying makes it worse

Hi @tonys @Appleblossom @Appleblossom

Another resident noticed id moved and we laughed as yes it is wrose where i am now. I am feeling so stupid. I couldnt settled and now i definitely wont. The cockroach is gone, so the sting of it too, of feeling un-homed.

Iam in the noisiest part of the hospital and it is worse and scarier thwn where i was previously and i am such an idiot!! We try, i guess, i was overtired as first few nights my bedmate snored and insisted to move...my new bedmate does as well lol.

@LeChuck those waffle blankets are the best tho lol. The pillows you mentioned ur right they are scary!

I feel i need to be here now but feel something is off about the whole thing, i was obsessing over the loud noises but now feek it was just me. Just me being scared.

I had one caring nurse and that was when i thought this is what is missing...someone who cares about me.

I ak so on edge and stressed my body is not working at its best

Re: Trying makes it worse

It's completely understandable for you to be feeling scared right now. I hope that over the next few days as you settle in, some of that fear will lift.

I'm glad you had a laugh with another patient. I only have my experience to go on, but it is hard to socialise so when you bump into a few people who can relate to you in there it really helps. Even if it's just someone to share a smile and a wave in the hallway.

Also we don't have waffle blankets! No fair!

Re: Trying makes it worse

Hi @LeChuck @tonys am trying to settle. I feel like i want to get our of here but im not sure what will happen. Deep breaths

Re: Trying makes it worse

Deep breaths indeed @EternalFlower It may not feel like the right place now, but hopefully it's a step in the right direction for you. Sending strength 💝

Re: Trying makes it worse

Hi @EternalFlower   not sure how much of my post got through about telli health phycologist got through.   made a bo  bo and said his name,     then my computer died..   so.

Take 2,     action.        In the letters from you,  since we first met I notice a pattern of sensitivity to noise.   Like a information overload thing.   This            ' may '    be a sign of autism.   I spend a lot of time in an underground  sound proof  room when I need to level out.   Now a lady at the disabilities centre where i dance got a teli health appointment,  with a good phycologist in sydney and got the NDIS,  I  got It from a big hump on my back and brain injury,  but they found I had A 2 as well and that was taken into account.    They said that on its own would have got me the NDIS help  so maybe do some googleing on it    So I'm clutching at straws here, and sorry couldn't get back earlier.  It can take a very very experienced  phycologist  to find subtle things.   Mine was found by accident,  masked by other things,  by someone who finally  really cared about me

I  had to pull my laptop  apart,  so its on last legs I think.   bit like its owner.  So,   if you write me and dont hear back,   I'm waiting to use my bookkeepers or pulling mine apart again.

I worry about you mate.  Will look in again latter tonight.   Deep  breathes,   Mmmm  ,     maybe some of my posts did get through.

Please  to anyone else who reads this,   I do know I'm not a doc,  just desperate for friend in need.     And to Sane  I do get why you stopped my post,  and thanks,  I can see why I cant recommend a specific doctor,   Its a bit like advertising on  ABC,    you have to be neutral.

I'm   learning.  .  .   slowly.      Thats all for now take care folks,   and big hug to you Eternal Flower    tonys   moon  base one

Re: Trying makes it worse

Hi @tonys all good totally.

Im not on the spectrum/have autism as my dr is up to speed with thst...my dad is on the spectrum but my problem is cptsd and hyper arousal....

So over weekend the staff kept waking me up and bossing me around a lot and it triggered trauma....then i was able to settle with a nurse i could trust. I dont know why im so sensitive with noise ur right it could be something different, its like i feel the people are invading my space and dont care or respect me. I feel kind of unseen.

I tried earplugs and milo one night which a kind nurse snuck in for me and it helped but i dont think it was the drink, i think it was the human care and compassion🍫❣️

Re: Trying makes it worse

I did think as i was typing that it would be to no avail,  but least you know I care.

OK  well I will let you get some rest,    me    I'm starving,   so i will look in on you later,

I promise,  No more Dr tonys,  and swat me if I say   p t s d   or any other stuff

Well,   you know,   thought it might be the keys to some funding for help

Peace to you my friend  @EternalFlower           tonys   m b 1

Re: Trying makes it worse

@tonys all good just responding that ive ruled out being on the spectrum or autistic...

I know a bit about it and my Dad is on the spectrum, never got any treatment as he was a bit narcisstic.
